The North Pole
Dear children of Alex,
What a lot of you there are! The elves had to fetch a longer sheet of paper just to fit you all in, and even then somebody had to write down the side.
I hear you have worked hard this year. Reading has got easier, sums have got trickier, and somebody in your class has become very good at tidying up. Your teacher told me. Teachers and I write to each other quite often.
Look after one another over the holidays. A class that is kind to each other is the best thing I see all year, and I see a great deal.
